Alex and Carole contacted New Garden Room Company with two challenges:

1. Alex is a partner in a law firm, and wanted to reduce his travelling and maximise his work time. At the same time he needed a workspace that lived up to his professional standards – it had to be quiet and sleek with everything he needed in terms of storage and desk space.

Now when he shuts his door it looks like he could be in the West End – but he’s in his garden!

2. Carole wanted a family room with hangout space for their sons that she could also use for entertaining. The brief was a tough one with a lot of detail, including a kitchen and toilet, heavy-duty flooring for the pool table, and high-speed wifi for gaming. But we nailed it – right down to the mood lighting.

“The Garden rooms have been life-changing. Alex now has a place to work in peace, and our two teenage boys have a place that’s just a kid’s dream. The Games Room has its own kitchen and toilet, so it’s also perfect for entertaining.”

“I did a lot of research to find the right company. I wasn’t satisfied with most of what I saw in terms of price and build quality. Many are pre-built, but I wanted something bespoke. Darren listened to what I had to say, but came up with a lot of ideas, which gave me a lot of confidence.

Originally we planned one multi-purpose room, but I need peace to do my work, so we decided on two separate units.

The colour-change mood lighting was a special request by one of our sons, and although they’d never done it before, they did it perfectly – it’s a great feature.

The whole family are so happy – it’s an amazing addition to our lives, and it’s changed our lifestyle. Pandemics aside, we’d have done this anyway if we’d known what benefit we’d get from it.”
