Will and Emma live in a lovely but modestly-sized end of terrace home in Drayton and they wanted extra living space for their growing family, so they approached us to see what kind of Garden Room might suit both their lifestyle and their budget.

Like to many of our customers, Will and Emma wanted their Garden Room to serve more than one purpose, and their wish-list included: a small area for a home-working desk; space for their Peleton exercise bike and a comfortable area for entertaining and socialising.

Their garden isn’t huge, but they wanted the largest Garden Room possible within the space, without the need for planning permission. Since we’re specialists, we were able to design and construct this fabulous 6 metre by 3.6 metre Garden Room as close as allowed to their fencing, so that the new room faces the back of the house.

And because we’re also part in New Home Improvement Group, we also had landscaping specialists on hand to lay the lovely new porcelain patio and artificial grass that ties the new Garden Room to the main house.

The maintenance-free composite cladding and panoramic bifold doors and windows are coloured to match the house and fencing, and the external lighting is remote-controlled, allowing them to light the space from the house or the Garden Room.

The internal walls were painted in Cornish Cloud and the laminate flooring is Light Oak. Of course, a good wifi connection was essential, so we installed high quality wifi repeaters, as well as a TV aerial.

Will, Emma and their family are delighted with their new Garden office/gym/den and the way it connects their garden to their home.
