When James approached us, he had a clear vision — to create a dedicated music studio garden room in a comfortable, inspiring, and soundproof space. After extensive research into the best companies for the job, James chose us to bring his dream studio to life — a bespoke, high-quality environment that would meet his specific acoustic and aesthetic needs.
From the very beginning, we worked closely with James to understand exactly how he wanted to use his new space. Together, we carefully designed a plan that focused on functionality and sound performance.
To ensure the perfect acoustic environment, we incorporated specialist insulation using acoustic Rockwool and acoustic glazing for the windows and doors — effectively soundproofing the studio and creating the ideal setting for music lessons.
Inside, we delivered a fully plastered and decorated finish, complemented by Tawny Chestnut laminate flooring for a warm and professional look. To add to the ambience, flush-fitted warm white spotlights were installed both internally and externally, enhancing the cosy and inviting atmosphere of the space.
We also collaborated with our sister company, New Driveway Company, who completed the landscaping around the garden studio as well as installing a large patio. The team installed Indian Sandstone paving to form a stylish pathway leading to and around the studio and house. Moonstone gravel was laid around the garden room and in the front garden for a modern and practical finish.
As a finishing detail, we provided a complimentary entrance step, ensuring seamless access to the new studio. The exterior was beautifully cladded in teak composite panels, completing the elegant aesthetic while maintaining durability and low maintenance.
The combination of acoustic insulation, acoustic glass, and custom blinds has created a fully soundproof, high-performance music studio — a true sanctuary for creativity and teaching. With eight conveniently placed power sockets, James can now connect all his instruments and teaching equipment effortlessly.
The result is a bespoke garden studio that not only meets James’s professional requirements but also enhances the overall appeal of his outdoor space — a perfect harmony of craftsmanship, design and practicality.
