Garden Music Studio, Windsor

Tim approached the New Garden Room Company to help design a multi-purpose garden retreat that could accommodate his music agency, provide an area for recording and practice, and include a small gym and garden storage space.

The bespoke garden room was constructed using natural cedar cladding, chosen for its durability and warm aesthetic that blends seamlessly into the garden setting. Inside, we enhanced acoustic performance with upgraded insulation, acoustic rockwool, and double-layered soundproof plasterboard, ensuring optimal sound control for music production.

The interior was finished with tawny chestnut flooring, brushed silver sockets and switches, and anthracite grey aluminium windows and doors, achieving a modern, professional feel. Externally, we installed 2.4m aluminium bifold doors with full-length vision panels, flooding the space with natural light and connecting the garden room to the landscaped surroundings. A secure multi-lock composite door provides access to the dedicated storage area.

Our sister company, the New Driveway Company thoughtfully transformed the outdoor area to create a functional yet elegant garden layout, combining high-end finishes with practical features for everyday use. A resin driveway framed by Woburn Original block paving adds definition and visual contrast. The porcelain patio and path wrapped around the house creates an inviting and elegant space for entertaining. The freshly laid lawn is softly illuminated by discreet LED garden lights, casting a warm glow throughout the evening.

The result is a harmonious blend of contemporary materials and natural features, with the smooth porcelain paving, warm cedar tones, and structured lawn working together to create a calm and cohesive environment.

This project exemplifies the client’s vision with the layout providing the perfect balance between productivity and relaxation – a space to work, exercise, and unwind, all within the comfort of the garden.
