Garden Living Room Chipping Norton Oxfordshire
Paula and Chris live in the village of Ascot-Under-Wychwood near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire.
They wanted more space in their home for entertaining and for overnight guests, but didn’t want to to go through the hassle of a home extension. They have a big garden, so they contacted us to explore their options. We worked out that they could fit in a 25 square metre timber-framed Garden Room without the need for planning permission, and after a few site visits to agree the design and features, we set to work.
Once we’d installed the concrete base, we constructed the triple-insulated timber framed Garden Room and finished it with Cedar composite cladding and a one-piece Firestone rubber roof for long life and easy maintenance. We supplied and installed anthracite coloured 3-metre Origin bi-fold doors and a 400x1000mm letterbox non-opening window. The plastered walls were painted in white to complement the Howdens whitewashed laminate flooring.
To finish off, our electrician installed and certified the recessed lights, double sockets and a slimline wall heater.
Everything went according to plan and we completed the job in just three weeks.
Paula and Chris have added a big screen, sound system and a sofa-bed, and their Garden Living Room/Guest Room is already giving them more space for their lives.
